Balancing Act 2

Five Years Celebrating Poets

Balancing Act 2

Our Editor, Emily J.T. Matthews, was honored to read alongside Maine poets at the Portland Public Library to celebrate Balancing Act 2: An Anthology of Poems by 50 Maine Women. She shared her poem from the anthology, “Supervising Half-Ass Lawn Care,” and selections from her chapbooks Secret Girl and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails.

More than forty years after the publication of the original Balancing Act, Littoral Books published this anthology sharing voices of Maine women. Follow this link to learn more about the publication, see a list of contributors or purchase a copy.

Here at the Frost Meadow Review we are energized and encouraged by this publication. We can’t wait to share more poems from amazing writers from Maine this Spring and feel so grateful for the incredible poetry community we get to call home.

Sending love for an inspired Valentine’s Day! Don’t forget to send us your submissions for Spring/Summer! Submissions close Feb 15th at 11:59pm.
