Pandemic Poetry – Our Response
Dear Poets and Poetry Lovers,
We wanted to send you a warm (albeit distanced) hug and to tell you we feel with you as this situation develops. We wanted to share the measures we are taking here at the Frost Meadow Review to respond and support our community in this hard time. We have made the following plans for this spring in light of the current situation:
- The Spring/Summer 2020 (Volume 5) featuring Meghan Sterling will be published on time (May). Due to the hard times and our desire to support our community, we will publish this volume both in print and we will also publish it for FREE as a downloadable eBook. This will allow our readers to access the publication even despite financial insecurity and without leaving home. We hope you enjoy this beautiful volume.
- We are opening a call for submissions for Pandemic Poetry. That is, we encourage you to write about your experiences during this challenging time and to send them to us at submit@frostmeadowreview.com in word or PDF format. For the foreseeable future, we will publish at least one poem a week from these submissions on our website. To kick us off with our first poem please read “When This is Hard” by our founding editor Emily JT Matthews. There is no submission fee and the poems will be free to read online. We believe that poetry matters and that we are more together. This is our way of helping us all stay connected and growing together. Please share with all poets and aspiring poets.
Our sincerest best wishes to you and yours in these hard times. Take good care and be well. We hope to read your poetry soon.
The Frost Meadow Review Team
